How to make beautiful dried pineapple flowers
- Trim the skin off a pineapple, be sure to remove all the skin and remove the eyes. You can remove the eyes individually, which leaves more of the pineapple intact or for a quicker method cut on the angle like in this wikihow article
- Next you need to slice the pineapple as thinly as possible. This will be easier if you have a very sharp knife.
- Dry the slices slightly using paper towel or cheesecloth for less waste.
- Lay the pineapple slices onto a lined baking pan
- Bake for 30 – 60 mins, then flip the pineapple slices over and bake another 30 mins. The baking time will vary depending on how thin your slices are.
- Press each slice into a muffin pan to shape into flowers and let dry overnight!
- They are now ready to be used to be as decoration. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place if not using straight away.
